I was born, raised and educated in Santa Barbara.  I have served the community as a business person and as a volunteer in many organizations and know my traditional values and background enable me to value the importance of a fiscally responsible city council while preserving the city’s inherent beauty and grace.

All departments of the city and their decisions must be transparent to the public through regular reporting at council meetings. The public needs to be made aware of the priorities of each department and how they intend to be cost efficient while protecting the health, safety and welfare of the community. 

As a council member I will provide oversight on how the departments are spending our tax dollars.  I will monitor the Budget and the General Fund while making sure that the General Reserve be maintained at a prudent level. I want to implement evening council meetings beginning at 6:00 PM so that working people may conveniently participate.

I have been a residential real estate broker, as well as an employee at Devereux, and Casa Esperanza. In addition to earning a degree from UCLA, I attended Santa Barbara City College for training in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
